Nesta Reps Meeting 04.03.09 Present: Gillian McCreesh, Laura Murphy, Jill Bulmer, Fiona Menger, Rachael Leisk, Hayley Fawcett, Emma Harrison, Caroline Wright, Laura Hailstone, Fiona Warriner Apologies:                                                                                                                      Kathryn Young, Kate Laws, Jo Woodcock, Rith Symes, Lynn Watson, Marj Robinson, Debbie Short 1. Minutes of  last Meeting: Accepted. 2. Membership - Joining throughout the year: It was decided that the status quo should remain for joining NESTA mid year, that is we would only accept mid year membership applications if newly qualified, just moved into the area or returning to work. Could reps please verify on application forms that the applicant is a new grad/returner etc. For the forthcoming Nuffield and dysphagia courses it was decided that delegates who were not currently members but were intending to join next financial year could submit their applications but that their places would not be confirmed until their membership applications were received and processed. 3. Current Reps: The list was circulated and updated. This will be forwarded to Marj and Rajan. Hayley to email the regional managers to inform them which areas do not have a rep. Rachel to email Helen Nazlie at the university to enquire if they would like to have a rep. 4. Treasurer's Update: Currently NESTA have 143 members. £5265.59 in NESTA funds. Social Stories made loss of £399.60. 5. Courses Completed:  PCIT – received very good feedback Counselling – Cancelled due to lack of interest PALS – Cancelled, low numbers but will readvertise in the summer as there was interest expressed 6. Courses Upcoming: Risk Management in Dysphagia – we set end of May as deadline for  members priority places, after this date non members can be allocated places. AAC: Reps to enquire in departments for specific topics members are interested in. 7. Short items: NESTA now has a debit card to pay for hotels etc. Lynn will hold the card and either Lynn or Fiona are authorised to use it.                                                                 Secretary role: Fiona Warriner will cover as secretary for the AGM and a new secretary will be nominated through the usual process.                                                                       Membership forms will be out asap. 8.
